Ken has been involved in the Australian and overseas construction industry for the past 25 years.
Initially an architect and documentation specialist and since 1984 a Project Manager/Project Director of significant projects. He possesses excellent strategic planning skills, which have led to his recent engagement based in Athens , Greece , working on the planning for the recent successful 2004 Olympic Games. Prior to Devlan, Ken was a Director of Arben Management, successfully developing a Project Management business in Sydney and by demand expanding the business to Brisbane . He was involved in land development projects from Mollymook, NSW to St Paul 's Terrace, Brisbane ; Raceview, Ipswich , Old Coach Road , Coomera and Karrabin Road , Walloon. Ken previously consulted to APP Projects Pty Ltd as Associate Director and Project Director, working on the $140m CBD Asset Strategy project, comprising the refurbishment and fitout of four Sydney CBD buildings for the NSW Property Services Group. During his time at APP, he was responsible for the design and quality direction of the $850m Sydney Harbour Casino on behalf of Sydney Harbour Casino Pty Ltd as Client Representative.
Past commissions have included the Project Management Director's role for Olympic Sailing at Rushcutters Bay , the Olympic Velodrome at Bankstown , the Water Polo Venue at Ryde Aquatidc Centre, Beach Volleyball at Bondi, on behalf of the OCA and the refurbishment of The Regent Hotel as part of the Olympic families official residence during the Sydney 2000 Games. Ken completed the strategic overlay for the Athens Olympics. He was responsible for the tender and award of the overlay for Jacobs/Gibb & Gibb Hellars and managed the design procurement of all venues outside the existing Olympic Stadium and the Olympic Village.
Recently Ken worked with Woolworths, Gowings, Stocklands Qld, and the Benchmark Group on a variety of projects in NSW and Qld.
